Whooping cough
Whooping cough Reviewed by the BabyCenter Medical Advisory Board En espa /> Highlights What are the symptoms? Special dangers for babies How did my child get this disease? What will the doctor do? After having whooping cough, is my child immune or does she need to get the rest of her pertussis shots? Whooping cough, also known as pertussis, is a bacterial infection that inflames the lungs and airways. (Babies may not be strong enough to make this characteristic whooping sound.)What are the symptoms?Whooping cough often starts with cold or flulike symptoms runny nose, and a mild cough, which may last up to two weeks before the more severe coughing spells begin. During coughing episodes, which seem to happen more often at night, your child's lips and nails may turn bluish from lack of oxygen. If your baby has any trouble breathing, call 911 or take her to the nearest emergency room. Your child could have gotten it from direct contact with someone infected with the bacteria or by simply breathing air infected with the germs. The bacteria usually enter the nose or throat. SYMPTOM GUIDE Is it serious? Find out fast Most children receive several vaccinations against whooping cough (pertussis) as part of the DTaP series, which also protects against diphtheria and tetanus. They also recommend that adults and adolescents in contact with babies receive a dose of the Tdap vaccine to protect them from contracting whooping cough and transmitting it to babies. 1 2 Previous Next Show All
I know a lot of the focus is on vaccination. For your own kids health, if you bought them a new matress, or have a foam childs matress, you need to remove them from the room. Make sure they are getting fresh air, and that they are not in heat or direct sunlight.
The body will effectively get the flame retardants out of the mouth, throat, lungs etc. The child will cough or sneeze a lot, do not let them wipe it back onto themselves. I don't know if this is the cause of the epidemic, but from my experience with a matress I bought this year, I personally have no doubt it is the cause.
I don't want to offend the parents on here. Their children may very well have whooping cough or another illness. I however am fully convinced from experiences I have had this year with toxic flame retardants in my matress that they are being exposed to flame retardants, which are making them terribley sick. The cough is not from a virus, it is from am build up of these persistent chemicals in their mouths, throats and lungs that is making it hard for them to breathe.
I have had an experience this year with my matress, it would inevitabley lead to the symptoms of whooping cough and the chemicals in my matress were potent enough to destroy my health, I have no doubt that they would hurt a childs. Not to get into the long version of the story, I removed a new matress from my room after 7 days, all year I had persisnt, constant, unrelentless health issues. After months I determined the matress, whose chemical odor never left, was the source of the issues. The chemical persistence was ba
